Bumbo Action!

We got a free bumbo seat thanks to our friend, Kelly! I put Jocelyn in it 1st and she loved it! She just watched the older kids play and chilled. I think she enjoyed sitting up. Then i tried Aria in the seat and at 1st she was not too sure about that thing. And a minute later she had enough and wanted out NOW! lol.. maybe when she gets a little bigger she will enjoy it too! So i think we will stick to the couch!

3 months old.

The babies have reached 3 months old and have begun smiling and cooing. Kya and Auron love interacting with them and holding them. Auron thinks its hilarious to make them smile. I know soon we will get that sweet out loud laugh.

The twins!!

On Feb 9,2010 i went in for my routine check-up and i was showing signs of the beginning stages of preeclampsia. So i was instructed to do a 24 hour urine test and then come back on friday Feb 12. I went in on Friday and my lab tests were not ready yet. My doctor was furious with the lab. And she said, " i'm sorry but we are going to have to admit you today, because i need you in the hospital when your lab results come back". The tests came back and i definantly was diagnosed with pre-e. My doctor wanted to take the babies that day because my blood pressure kept rising and i was having contractions every 2 minutes. But her higher up said to wait, give the babies a few more days. So i waited 2 whole, miserable days in the hospital. And finally the doctor came in and said, "are you ready to meet your babies?". At this point my blood pressure was rising into the 180's so i was more than ready. So they go and get the OR prepped and i call Dan and tell him to get his arse to the hospital ASAP the twins are going to be born!" He got there after i was already in the OR, right after they finished the spinal. And 2 minutes later at 9:34 Aria Kristine made her debut at 4lbs 11oz 17 in followed by her sister 1 minute later at 9:35 Jocelyn Dawn weighing in at a whopping 5lbs 1oz 18 in (good size for a 34 week preemie). Babies were doing great. I got to nurse them for 2 days and they they started getting really sleepy and would not eat. They dropped weight fast and couldnt keep there temps. So they got feeding tubes and incubater beds. They gradually ate more and eventually they started bottle feeding.. and 13 days after their birth we got to bring them home.. I got to stay in the hospital for the 1st whole week they were in the NICU because my blood pressure remained out of control. I was so relieved to finally get them home. The back and forth to the hospital was taking its toll on me. Kya and Auron were so happy to finally get to meet their sisters!
